First let start with this- Why is your skin oily and/or red?  Well, your skin is so dehydrated it’s trying to overcompensate for itself and give you the vital oils your skin desperately needs. This means you need to MOISTURIZE and HYDRATE my friend.

Top Five Products That Will Change Your Life

1. Mario Badescu Cucumber Spray

This is the most satisfying product ever to put on your skin. Imagine that slow-motion expensive perfume commercial we’ve all seen. That’s how it feels to put this on your skin, I swear by it. Here’s the best part though- it’s literally $7!! Yes $7! It’s so worth the buy.

2. Hempz Triple Moisturizer

I live and die by this product. I use it as a full body moisturizer. I applied this product head-to-toe after the shower and twice a day on my face for about 30 days, and it changed my skin from full blown oily to now a combo skin. Only oily in the T-zone. My skin rejuvenated itself after years of damage with hot showers and hard minerals from well water. It’s a quick dry lotion with no residue left over feeling (that’s my favorite part.) You just won’t convince me that a face moisturizer is worth it. It lasts about two weeks and is way overpriced.

3. Urban Decay Optical Illusion Face Primer

This is a good matte primer. It doesn't leave a weird residue feeling and dries quickly. It definitely keeps your foundation on longer and keeps that matte look. It keeps oils from coming through your foundation throughout the day. I buy the travel version and last me a good while. If you wear makeup everyday you might want the full size, but for me the travel size is the perfect amount and the right price.

4. Mac Studio Fix Foundation

Want a full-coverage look with a medium coverage feel? This is it baby! This foundation is super light, long-lasting, great coverage. Why I love this product though is because it covers redness better than any product I’ve seen, when I was a beauty advisor. It's a great price for a prestige foundation. It currently runs $33 when most foundations average about $10 more.

5. Mac Prep + Prime Cucumber Setting Spray

I love finishing off my look with this product. Very light and satisfying, unlike the Urban Decay finishing sprays where you mine as well just spray your face with hair spray. There are many versions to your liking. For me, I pick the cucumber because I like the smell and I always stay hydrating. I like the original too and alternate between that and the cucumber to keep my skin from getting used to any product. I used to use the Too Faced Hangover Spray, but this one is so similar and better priced.
